Tongo and Jane introduced

Hi, everyone!
Please, have a look at the following pictures…
Yes, yesterday, Tongo was introduced to our sweet little JANE.
JANE was still in her small quarantine enclosure and Tongo was close to her with Faustin.
JANE had no hesitation at all, opened her arms widely and couldn’t stop from hugging the little one…
We had tears in our eyes: these moments were precious, full of love and tenderness. And, once Tongo went a bit too far from her, JANE started crying.
Tongo seemed to enjoy to be with his new friend but he very often felt lost especially when he noticed Faustin had taken some distance.
Also, because JANE is going to move in her new quarantine place, Faustin showed Tongo the enclosure where he is soon going to stay with his friend.
It is now just a matter of time - we are sure JANE is going to accept Tongo quickly and that she will take good care of him.
Faustin is staying with us a few more days. Introduction will be finished by then and we do hope all will be fine afterwards…
Every day at JACK is a new experience for little Tongo, and thanks to JANE, he won’t be alone any more…

Oh man. I got a little weepy looking at Jane hugging Tongo as tight as she could. What a wonderful scene. Jane looks to have a big heart and Tongo needs lots of love - a perfect match. I can’t wait to see them climbing trees together.

hello everyone -
I’ve been following all that has been going on with the Virunga Park Gorillas since the horrific massacre last year, then recently stumbled onto this site J.A.C.K. from the post about the baby chimpanzee being mistaken for a baby gorilla …
Bless you & Thank You Franck & Roxane for everything that you are doing to help these guys and all the chimps ..
this is such a lovely post (a nice break from all the constant bad things happening to all animals)
Jane & Tongo need eachother and I truly hope that everything will be okay when Faustin leaves. Thank you & Bless You Faustin for staying on longer to work with Tongo ensuring his well-being .. your patience, compassion & devotion for the chimps is blinding - same feeling for Franck & Roxane.
all the Chimps that you are helping & saving are beautiful.
I cannot thank you enough for all the work that you are doing.

This is heartwarming news! Hopefully, Tongo’s bonding with Jane will minimize the emotional impact of Faustin’s impending departure. Faustin, it was great that you stayed on to help Tongo’s adjustment. No doubt this has helped his transition to his new life at J.A.C.K. You are all wonderful people conducting magnificent works on behalf of our chimpanzee cousins. God Bless!!
